A Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) occurs as jihadist organization whose goal is to overthrow the todays government of Uzbekistan and replace it by having the theocracy. This movement is currently an arm of the Islamic Movement of Central Asia, an Islamic terrorist organization.

Tohir Yuldashev heads the organization & Juma Khodjiev (aka Juma Namangani) was a head of the military wing until he was flushed when fighting using the Taliban if Afghanistan.

Around 1998, Uzbek President Islam Karimov vowed to clamp down on the organization and its like. Yuldashev & Khodjiev got been sentenced to death in absentia, while a more members of the organization run prison sentences.

the class action was attributed to an incident after a string of vi bombs went off within Tashkent in February of 1999 killing 16 humans. Inside August of the same season, the class action held a Japanese man surety until the ransom was paid to let him last.

When September 11, 2001, the United States froze all IMU plus.
